Coya - a Peruvian Gem

Move over Supper Club, Coya has taken over the venue. Supper Club fans don't worry it's moved inside La Suite.

The location has had an interior design uplift, but is roughly the same layout at Supper Club.

We kicked off our meal with a Peruvian cocktail made with a traditional liquor called Pisco. Absolutely sublime, but very moorish and quaffable!

For starters we shared the fresh Guacamole. I have to say this is the best Guacamole I have ever had. It was prepared at our table using fresh whole avocados, and needless to say it didn't last very long. In fact, it was so good we nearly ordered another instead of a main course! We also shared Empanadas de Carne and Anticuchos de Pollo and Beef (chicken and beef skewers). This was more then enough for four of us.

Unfortunately the starters left us all pretty full so we shared more skewers and

the corn fed baby chicken as a main course. Also delicious.

The atmosphere is fun, and the dress-code dressy. The DJ played some good tunes.

We were only given a 2 hour table slot which went very quickly. We were about to order another bottle of wine when we were asked to vacate the table.

But... Head out of supper club and walk towards the beach. There is an amazing new cocktail bar La Selva, with comfy sofas and relaxing tunes all set in a tropical garden atmosphere. Oh and it also does a fab Marguerita.
