It started with a bang! at Mamzel. Review of Mamzel by Casa Kibo Marbella

This is the restaurant for a fun night out. Leave the kids at home and put your party gear on. Mamzel is a dressy venue where being glamorous is nearly compulsory.

You will need to book in advance, and request a table at the front, otherwise you may find yourself away from the action in the corner.

This is not the place to head to if you are on a budget. Think €800 for 4 people with wine. But like The Supper Club, it's not just the food you are paying for it's the show too.

Situated at the bottom of the Istan Road (roughly €7 in an Uber) the setting is secluded and certainly punches the 'WOW' factor.

The food here is also good. I have had the hummus with the Tandoori bread, the lamb koftas and the spring rolls and it's a good mix if you want to share starters.

For main course I actually gave the grilled octopus a miss and had the prawn green curry. My friends had the grilled beef tenderloin and it was all very tasty.

The service is good, but watch them topping up your wine. We started to go through bottles very quickly and had to request for them not to refill.

The show started around 9pm with fun warm up acts around the table. The show we saw had a theme of 'Back to the Future' and was excellent. The dancers were very well choreographed and wore superb costumes. The electric guitarist should have been a star in his own right, and the singer was truly talented. Especially the tribute to Tina Turner she performed. Not an easy feat.

It's not somewhere we would head for a normal night out, but if you are looking for something really special Mamzel and the Supper Club could be it.
